Rebuilding the Station Parking Lots & Driveways

Beginning on April 7th, 2026, access to the Fire Station #1 will be very limited due to the next phase of the renovation project – improving site drainage and creating all-weather, concrete and asphalt parking lots, aprons, and driveways.

On Tuesday, April 7th, Fuller Excavation will begin the preliminary site survey. On Wednesday, April 8th, the crew and construction equipment will arrive.

Heavy construction equipment will be moving around the site, grading the existing parking lots to ensure proper drainage, then building the concrete pads, driveways, and asphalt parking areas.

The construction project is expected to run for up to four weeks, finishing on or before April 30th. Weather conditions, rain in particular, may cause further delays in project completion.

The station will be closed to site visitors and vehicular traffic other than Fuller Excavation personnel and designated interior contractors. Contact Karl Wolfe, Project Manager, Chief Patrick Cates, Bill Daly or Charlie Trammell with any questions on this phase of the renovation.
