Sunrise Beach Fire Department Makes Save

June 19, 2026
Sunrise Beach Fire Department personnel responded to a Cardiac Arrest call on Circle Drive, in Sunrise Beach Village on the early afternoon of June 19th. A resident saw a person down in his front yard, called 9-1-1 to report the emergency, checked for a pulse and finding none, initiated Bystander CPR. First Responders from SBFD made the scene in just over 3 minutes after being dispatched and were able to achieve Return of Spontaneous Circulation (ROSC) in just under 4 minutes, right as Rescue 51 arrived on the scene. Paramedics from Hamilton EMS arrived on scene shortly thereafter. The decision was made to transport the patient via Careflite Air Ambulance to Seton Williamson County, which was successful.
Kudo’s to First Responders Dan Gower, Carla Mott, and Bill Long for their skilled CPR performance that resulted in this save and for the neighbor who took prompt action with Bystander CPR.
